fDi Magazine, which is a part of the Financial Times Group published a ranking of free economic zones – “Global Free Zones 2019”.
According to the ranking, the special economic zone “Ontustik” is nominated in the “Specialism textiles” and “Crossborder collaboration” for this year.
The victory in these nominations was awarded for the creation of a textile hub in the country and active trade cooperation of residents of the SEZ “Ontustik” with the countries of near and far abroad.
To date 14 projects have been implemented on the territory of the SEZ “Ontustik” for a total investment of 29.5 billion tenge and 1531 jobs have been created. SEZ “Ontustik” enterprises produce about 60 types of products, the total production volume is 53.9 billion tenge., and more than half of these products worth 37.2 billion tenge were exported to more than 15 countries of the world .
